Reconnecting a module to restore syncing
Reconnect a module to restore syncing after the source or target database was moved or deleted, and choose how to handle data conflicts
If syncing stops, reconnect the module to re-establish the connection. During reconnection, you can review conflicts and decide whether to overwrite or resolve them manually.
To reconnect a module
- From workspace home, click the card of the target database.
- Toggle on Edit mode.
- Click the Connect module card.
- Select a module in the Connect module dialog.
- Click the Next button.
- In the dialog, review the available fields, global functions, and permissions.
- Click the Connect button.
- If conflicts are detected, they are displayed. New records are highlighted in green, updated records in blue, and deleted records in red.
- Choose how to handle conflicts:
a. Overwrite conflicting target data with source data. Click the Connect button again. The dialog disappears and, if the connection is successful, the message Connected modules updated is briefly displayed in the upper right corner of your screen.
b. Resolve conflicts manually. Open the table named in the dialog and correct the conflicting target data. When you're finished, click Cancel, then repeat the steps above to reconnect the module.
