After linking the two tables, you will find a new Company field in the Events table form.

You can now use this field to save a link between a record in the Events table and a record from the Company table as follows:

1. In the Events table form, click in the Company field.
2. A pop-up window will open displaying all available records from the Company table.
3. Select the desired record. If the linked table is very large, use the Search function (at the top).
4. The selected record is linked to the current record via the Company field in the Events table form.

❗Occasionally, using the Search function of the popup will not yield the intended results. These are possible causes and solutions:

1. The Global search option is disabled in the target table (in this case, Company). Enable this option in the target table's settings by selecting Edit Fields from the gear icon menu. 
2. The column to be searched is a formula field. Formula fields or fields from linked tables cannot be searched; only static data fields in the target table can be searched.

3. Open the Options of the database and click Rebuild indexes at the bottom.

4. Create a (manual) backup of the database and restore it.
