Ninox - Please can we have

Copy Field - Design mode - I would like to be able to copy a field (with its attributes) and then simply rename the new copy to a new name.

Auto Number - I would like and extension attribute to the property of the number field to be able to set that field to have an auto generating number or numeric string type ie 00001, 00002 etc and to specify a starting number ie number from 100001 and up.. even better if we could define a prefix ie/post BN0001 or 0001BN

Duplicate a table (we can do this) but option to copy a view to the new table at the same time (which we can't do)

Imports data cvs's - as well as the defined field list from the import table - allow to specify an existing field and input a formula - ie import fields test1, test2 and test3 plus let me specify existing date field and set a formula to say Date := today () etc.

"Auto Number", as you call it, would also be immensely useful as a choice in the context of "Update multiple records…"

Mel Charles I guess the issue here is who gets to make things "sticky"? If everyone can then nothing becomes "sticky".

Okay Fred - Then if we agree that all mine alone can be "stickys"..... 🤣🤣

    Field Type - Unique
    Adjust Row height individually
Use Shift+Click the select a range of Rows.  Eg:  From 10 to 68 of 1 to 100.

Alan Cooke Or have Ninox auto-size row heights (variably) to cells' max height in each row.
But for me, more important is - independently of varying row heights -  dynamically to have the height of a table's header row adjust to display the whole content of all field headers.
The benefit of being able to edit field headers in a table to display something different from the field name in the Form is diluted when much of the time the table headers are truncated .

A way to access the fields of the record hosting a view from a formula column of the view, as discussed here:

To clarify a bit more: a handle to the host record should be available inside views (the layout elements) and inside reference fields.

Masked/Password Field - Would be nice to mask text by default unless clicked on.

Sharing a Record via URL - I understand this can already be done for Ninox users, but would be especially helpful to share a public URL anyone can view for the specific record.

Text Entry Alert Field - Similar to alert(“”) add dialogue(“”,’Text Box’) to have the ability to type text in the dialogue box, hit OK, which would then insert to the specified text field. This would be a handy feature, to still make changes to a specific field, after a record becomes unwritable or is read-only.

Calendar View in Record View - Would be especially helpful to have a calendar 'view' within a record.

Maps View in Record View - Would be helpful to have a map view of directions or a location.

These would be good additions to have Mel

    Table level Trigger after load

    Record level Trigger after load

A function to determine the position of a given element in an array.

The "item()" function can be used to address an element in both an array and in a string. It would be nice if the "index()" function could also be used with arrays as it is with strings. I mean something like:

    index(array, value)

where "value" is a value of the same type that the elements in the array. The function would return the index of the first element in the array matching exactly "value", or the value "-1" if no match can be found.

    All of the above plus:

    - prevent duplicate fields

    - a way to refer directly a choice field in a function

    - more visual formatting option or at least a dark mode 😃

Make printing more integral into the App so we can just print from the DB without having to create a whole new layout or tables.

    or

To be able to use view elements in Printing that way we can get a bit closer to what our DB views look like.

In the views, and in the Reference fields, an "On click" option. This would be a place to define a script when the N:1 or one of the items of a 1:N or a view is cliked, the execution of the script replacing the default action, which is to open the related record. In this script, one would need handles to the record hosting the field of view and to the target record.

Arguing with myself (senility ?)… If such an option would exist, the context for the script execution would certainly be the target record itself. Which means that the fields of that record would be accessible and that, if a handle to the record itself is needed, it would be provided by the existing 'this' keyword. So a "new" mechanism woul only be needed to access the hosting record, as discussed earlier.

You are correct. I didn't quite process your post. I guess it got me thinking about views and their limitations.
