Database Split
I have been doing a major overhaul one of my Ninox database tables. Sometime during this process the tables has split into 2 parts.
I had a database called "Workflows", containing hundreds of fields. Normally, when I opened it, there was a single tab named "Database". Sometime recently that tab seems to have split such that when I open this table in Form view, immediately under the search field there are now 2 tabs: one labelled "Workflows" which contains only 2 fields and the original tab, "Database" which still has all the rest of the original fields.
Overall these tables still operate as normal except that if I want to access the 2 "missing" fields I have to click on the "Workflows" tab.
I can't find any way of merging those two fields back into the one table.
Please help.

Hi Ian
If I understand it correctly "Database" is a tab which was the first item in the Edit fields... section. This has now been moved down two places. When the first item in a table isn't a tab, Ninox includes a tab by default and it is called the same name as the table name.
Drag that tab back up to the first position and all will be restored.

My Pleasure Ian
It is, in my view, good practice to add a tab layout field in the first position because it gives you far more control going forward. I always include another tab called 'Hidden' as my last tab and make it hidden when I am not in admin mode. Use the Display field only if... section and put this in it
isAdminMode()
Then I put all those fields I don't want to see under this tab. It saves me form having to set them all as hidden individually.

It might not be known but fields can be dragged to a TAB and when it changes to red will drop onto/into that TAB when the mouse is released. This is in 'Wrench' mode of course.

Thanks Alan. I didn’t know that!

In the cloud version this drag and drop to the tab name is not reliable and often the the field etc when then land where - Ninox some 2 years ago addressed this and of course made it worse !!
and the other theing the braoke was in eedit mode you could drag a tab and all the fields under that tab would follow the tab to the new position - this no longer works either
Guess thats progress !

Hi Mel. Thank is a pain, that if you want to re-order the tabs you need to move all the fields as well.
