Forum Notifications Not Occurring When Someone Answers/Replies

I've checked my "My Profile" settings and I have notifications checked, but I never get notified when someone posts a reply. Does that setting refer to something else and there's another forum setting to engage to be notified when someone takes the time to provide a suggestion or a solution? Not easy to find either when you periodically check-in.

    It's been months since I've received a notification that someone has responded to a thread I've participated in. I unchecked Notifications, logged out, logged in and checked it again before I posted this. They've made "improvements" to the forum so a few things don't work like they used to.
