Issue with a formula

Hi

I have an issue with a formula wich extract the first word of a coumpound word :

substr(Nom, 0, index(Nom, " "))

That works perfectly but not with one name.

How can I resolve that ?

    I think it's because that name begins with a space in your text-field.
