Account only to view data
Good morning everyone,
I have the Professional subscription for Ninox. I developed a Ninox database for the company. It is now complete and I would like other users to have access but just to see the information, so they don't need to make any changes of any kind. If I invite someone by email, they are prompted to activate a paid subscription. Now I would like to know if even to view the data, this person has to activate a paid version.
If yes, what kind of license?
Thank you

Hi Thomas,
Any user who logs into Ninox will need a license. They can either be a:
- member - you purchase additional licenses under your account then invite them to use these
- contributor - the users can purchase their own public cloud license. This is possible with a starter license.
In terms of displaying information to users outside of Ninox, you can do this via Share URLs. More information here: https://docs.ninox.com/en/tutorial/intermediate#sharing-a-view
Another approach is using the API to pull information from Ninox and display it from another platform. Let me know if you'd like more information about this option.

To the best of my knowledge you need to have a paid account for all users regardless of editing level.
If you have a website that is linked with something like Make or Zapier then you can export your data to a website that anyone can see. Depending on the number of users could be a cheaper alternative if it is a view only situation.

I have one colleague who works part time from home that needs sight of all customers/quotes & works dockets.
As they don't need key access, I can't see the point of paying an extra £10.00 per month for a connection.
Thus I output all of the 3 items above as 3 x master pdf's from 3 table views and email over. Not ideal but it only takes a couple of seconds to do.

You could also use a shared html-view of a table.
