Do I have to pay monthly?

I bought Ninox and have been running it on one desktop Mac, syncing it via iCloud with just one iPhone. Now I have received an email telling me I have to buy a monthly subscription. Why? I paid for this software and currently use it for just one or two DBs, mainly to record kiln runs for firing stained glass. Can I continue to use it in this way, and just ignore or close my Ninox online account? I feel really dumb asking this question but I can’t seem to find an answer online anywhere. Thanks

    Did you buy the MacOS app in the App Store?

    If you only use the MacOS and iOS app and iCloud storage then you don't need to subscribe to the cloud service.

       Thank you. This is far from clear. The Ninox pricing web page does not list a free tier. They are all pay-monthly plans
