Designing a form
For better clarity, we add headings
Since our Company table is already quite extensive, we would now like to briefly show you how to make the form more structured, for example, by adding headings.
How it´s done
Adding headings
- Open the Table Settings of the table Company.
- Click on Layout Fields in the right column.
- Drag the Heading field above the Company field in the middle column and name it, for example, Company Details.
- Repeat the process and add another Heading above First and Last Name and name it Contact Person.
Your table settings should now look like this:
If you have followed our instructions, your table settings should now look like this.
Formatting headings
You can also format the headings immediately when adding them. To keep things clear, we have divided this process into two steps.
- Step (above): Add Heading field (twice)
- Step (here): Customize Heading field as desired (twice)
To customize the headings, click on the Heading field in the middle column. A pop-up will open. You are now in the Field Settings (here: the heading Company Details).
Click on the Style field: another pop-up will open. You've reached the formatting paradise!
You are in the field settings of the first heading "Company Details".
Click on the "Style" field to access the formatting options.
We applied the following formatting options:
Options | Company Details | Contact Person |
---|---|---|
Font Color | White (from palette) | Orange (from standard) |
Background Color | Orange (from standard) | — |
Font Size | Very large | Very large |
Font Style | Bold | — |
Table Border | — | Dotted |
Border Width | — | Medium |
Border Color | — | Orange (from standard) |
Of course, there are many more ways to customize your form! We just wanted to give you a small glimpse.
