Upgrade Mac App: 3.17.4....or a backwards step?

I have just had to re-write several elements of code that just stopped working properly in the upgrade to v3.16.6. I didn't quite get to the root cause, but it seemed to be linked to a dialog() box that I eventually left out. Perhaps someone could enlighten me?...

Now, noticing that 3.17.4 is in use, I am unable load the background image from the database options. I just get the default gradient. 

On the basis of "it's not broken, so don't fix it!", why is the platform showing signs of instability?

Slightly frustrated......

       - sorry, Fred I haven't got it any more. It was just very frustrating trying to find out why something stopped working, when it had been working well previously. I had to take a line-by-line approach. It was possibly a coding error, but it coincided with an App update......who knows!

      I just wonder if this kind of event has been documented before?? I'm more than happy with Ninox, Im learning HTML now - never used that before - never a dull moment!

      I think that it would be a good idea for me to upgrade to a Public Cloud at €11 per month - sadly, I am pretty sure that the Charity I am helping will not want to pay that.
