Dynamic Multiple Choice Fields, "Show as: Embedded" - can you select which fields to display?

Hi all, back again with a Dynamic choice fields question -- I actually had two but after typing in the whole entire (1st) question, I figured it out. :-/

I have two tables: COLORS and GRAPHICS (MN) that are related as follows:

(GRAPHICS (MN): --> Reference from GRAPHICS (MN) to COLORS (N:1) (Show as: EMBEDDED)

In "More Options" > "Show as" is: 'COLOR NAME' + "; " + 'PANTONE #'

Question: If you're using the "EMBEDDED" (Show as) choice ...  is there a way to select which of the fields (from the COLORS table) you want displayed in the GRAPHICS (MN) table?

If I use "Show as: Popup", it will only display the COLOR NAME and PANTONE #  (it 'obey's the More options - "Show as" fx), otherwise, it just displays all of the fields.

I would have imagined there would be a way (fx) but maybe w/'Embedded' you don't have that option....? Or for that matter, the others, e.g. Combo Box, radio buttons, etc., they all display all of the fields as well. Can you limit any of them re: what fields are displayed?

Thanks, I really do appreciate any help ... :-)

Karen

    Hi Karen -

It looks like Embedded just shows you first View from the Colors table.

If you select any other Show As you can control what fields are shown by clicking on Edit Columns:

    Hope that helps.

Hi Fred! Thanks for the help ... makes sense :-) When I had looked at "Edit columns, I don't know why I thought changing what was there would change the actual 'COLORS' table (really smart, right?)

... I think I wasn't focusing on the right thing ('relationships'/views ... ) ... I'm still getting my head wrapped around the dynamic choice fields. On a different dB platform that I used to use prior, I  created/used 'pick lists' a lot so I should probably go back and look at them again. Don't know if that makes sense but in any event many thanks because at least I'm unstuck for now :-)

    Have a nice weekend! Karen
