Is there any way we can have images in the main column? (see image - where circled)

It works in their Real Estate database template. Click or tap on a column header and choose "Show column..." from the popup and then select your image field.

also is there anyway we can make the image larger in the list? (larger than image in list - see attached)

I'm a user not support, but I would say that's unlikely. You don't get the option to adjust row height like you do for column width.
