Freeze the table's records

Hi, is it possible to create a table with a list of records that are not amendable even by the administrator?

That is an interesting question.   The purpose of an admin (like a Database Administrator) is that they have supreme authority.. and "process" dictates what they can do.

What is your use case / scenario?

To support a use case such as Legal Hold, Audit Freeze, etc..  You could create a "back up" and post to a non-rewriteable medium .

Well, my question is related at the integrity of the records present in a table that should be presetted from the administrator and modify only by the “setting” view.

Hi, you can achieve that if you (as admin) insert false or 0 into the option field "Writable if" of the table.

    Hi Jörg,

if I insert false or 0 the I still have the possibility to add empty records, I would like to forbid the add functionality.

    Many thanks

    Hi Max,

If you work with the Ninox Cloud you can do that by entering a user role in the option "Create new Records" of the table settings which is not given to any user.

    Best, Jörg
