Dynamic print layout images showing up as grey squares with custom JSON

Hello,

 

Because printing in bulk with the dynamic print layouts results in error (because size), I'v tried to use the work around mentioned in the support section, by using custom JSON. However, this way the images from the database show up as grey squares. The files are JPG, so it should be simple and should work. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

    Did you make url's of the pictures? The carbone doc says: Dynamic pictures can be a public URL or a Base64 Data URI. See https://carbone.io/documentation.html#pictures

       Thank you very much. I saw that info before but did not understand at first read. I created a formula field with the function loadFileAsBase64URL('Picture Field') and used this field in the alt text of the image instead of the picture field and it worked! 👍
