Link to local file

I'm using the desktop version of Ninox and I want to know if it's possible to create a clickable link to a local file that I have on my desktop, rather than an URL? In my case I want a field with a link to a video file and when I click on it I want it to open in VLC or any other media program.

    Thanks Sean. I tried all what was mentioned, but I eventually found a relatively easy solution by just right-click on the filename, i.e. in my case "/Volumes/T7/GoPro/GOPR0354.MP4", choose "Services" and "Open" and that opens the actual video file in the designated player.

    This solution works t least with a Macbook Pro with Big Sur.
