Dashboard
I have been testing Ninox for a few days and it is a great system. It is though missing a dashboard that allows you to add multiple charts to display underlying data in the tables - the home page would be better if it could be Dashboard / Tables / History - the dashboard could be optional.

I agree. I was also going to suggest this.
An optional top level dashboard for each table would be useful

I agree both. I think that one (or maybe more than one that could be shared) dashboard able to show information from more than one table/view woul be a great feature.

Yes, I submitted this idea!

Hi All,
You can create dashboard in Ninox with help of charts and data from different tables using the new "charts" and "view" operations in "Layout elements".

I think what we all mean is that it would be good to have a page that displays all top-level charts. For instance a page that shows something like sales per month, outstanding invoices per month, income per month, new customers per month. Rather than having 4 views it would be helpful to have these four charts on a single dashboard page. At the moment we can create a chart view but it only has one chart on it.

You can build all of this according to your needs using the new layout elements "Chart" and "View". Use a seperate table or a tab on every form.

Hi All,
One can create dynamic dashboards like,

You are totally right - thank you for this.

Hi Andrew,
Use following formula to create chart for the corresponding table. You can give where condition as applicable.
select Inventory
Use 'Edit columns' to group/sum/filter like usual chart operations.

I have been using empty tables to create dashboards and it works well, but it seems a bit like a work around. It is not so bad if I just want one top level Dashboard, or a couple dashboards. Where it gets strange is when I have a database with 10+ tables, if I want different dashboards for each table.
What I am looking for is the ability to create a dashboard "view" for each table. Current view choices are "Table" or "Chart". I envision the "Dashboard" selection would allow you to add multiple "chart" and "view" layout elements to a blank form.
I also think a top level dashboard for all tables below the calendar would be useful.

Hi,
The new charts and view operations do exactly as you have stated; which is create "Dashboard" with multiple chart and view layout elements in a blank form.
Please refer to our posts above.

Sakshi Singh,
As blackie stated, the methods listed above will work, but is a workaround, having a separate table for our dashboards, where it would be easier to have a default dashboard when opening our database. Without opening our database, then clicking the table, and clicking the record to see our "Dashboard"
A similar web-based program that creates a customizable database, like Ninox, but also has the ability to set custom dashboards, and share those Dashboard views with other users is called "TrackVia"

This is a rough example, from a similar program, that would be nice to have in Ninox.
We understand there is a workaround to doing this, though would be easiest to have an actual customizable dashboard, with different views.

HEY NINOX TEAM!!!
There's a lot of us asking for this feature. I'm agree with those saying that what we have now works but it is a workaround.
What we are asking about is a dashboard o better more than one that work as independent containers where to place all kind of data summary elements for track information etc..
It is pretty confusing now as you have to implement it over a view of a registry. For me it doesn't make sense to create a empty table with one entry just to create a independent view to design a independent dashboard.
Thanks for you outstanding work.

Sakshi's workaround is useful but it is still a workaround - there needs to be a standard link to a Dashboard between Find and Calendar

@Sakshi - I know there are multiple chart options are available on Ninox but not a single Organizational Chart option is available. Such as if you can create an Org Chart in xlsx or CSV or in google sheet where you put the values and it turn into a Org Chart. Can you guys make this type of feature available. Thanks
-
Hi All,
sure, there are more features planned for creating dashboards and for data visualization.
Best, Alex

Hi guys and gals!
I wanted to send an update about finally having the ability to create a dashboard, and not have it look clunky!
First, I added some code to trigger after open:
openTable("1. Dashboard")
What that will do is when the record is opened, it will immediately take you to the dashboard.
Within my '1. Dashboard' I added only ONE record, and only one view, which is the new Form view.
I then set the permission where no one can delete records, and no one can add records. (This is only availabe in Ninox cloud)
But I was able to finally create my own dashboard, and it functions the way I want it to!
Still (sort of) a workaround, but this works for me!

Does anyone have more information on how to use the "new layout element "View" " mentioned in this thread. I can't find any information on it in the documentation.
My requirement is to have a simple dashboard table where I can filter and use all the data in another table. I thought this was exactly what the 'View' element would do, but I cannot see any way to have it refer to another table. I don't believe "linking" this to the main data table would be correct.
So how can I have the data displayed in this table?
Thanks for any help.
Mark.

Don't worry. I have this working with the 'Select' command.
