How to disable Create Record button in reference

Is there a way that I can disable the Create Record + button when I add a reference to another table? Ideally, I would like to only be able to use the Add existing record magnifying glass button. Thanks.

    If  you are using the cloud version, you can do this via the Roles .. and then select the role.
