    Hi Scotty,

In order to print in a layout from a form you just need to press the little printer symbol above (or in the iPad below) the form. In the layout editor that opens you can also customize, ad and save a ayout.

    Thanks Jörg,

Evidently I must not be understanding correctly. I have a phone book whereas at the top there is an icon which says table and next to it an icon that says table with form. The "table" is a spreadsheet format and then I custom designed a layout for the "table with form" icon. It is my custom designed (layout) form that I would like to print that is not in spreadsheet format. When I click on the printer icon as you suggested then it brings up a page with the title in bold on the left and the blank information field to the right. It looks like all these fields can be maniputated into to a customized layout but I've already done this on the "table with form" page. Hence, I would be duplicating what I have already layed out. I hope this makes some sense. Is there a way to print what I already have designed in the form portion of the "table with form" icon?

I'm trying to somewhat recreate what I have been using in FileMaker for over 30 years. I hope this product works out. I am excited at the possiblity of leaving FileMaker due to their high pricing. Thanks for your feedback...

    Hi Scotty,

If I understand you right, you would like to print the input form. That is not possible at the moment, but we already have such a feature in our list of requested features. For now you need to adjust the print layout in the print layout editor once again. Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards, Jörg

Still curious as to whether this is a priority fix feature as noted a year ago. I really do not want to continue with Filemaker but if this feature is not going to be available anytime soon I'll probably have to. Thanking you in advance for any response. I downlaoded an update and was hoping this item would be included but it's not..

    Try

    Shift-Command-4 on Mac or

    WinKey+Shift+S on Windows 10

Thanks Dean from 3 years ago. That shortcut is a screen shot and I'm looking to print multiple found files so the screen shot just doesn't work. Thank for the suggestion regardless. I can't believe they haven't developed this function yet and attests to the money that we waste on software experiments when the developers are not really committed on developing a viable product that can actually be used in the real business world. Such a shame.... I originally had high hopes these folks had their act together. Moved on to Tap Forms 5 which is an outstanding app but still needing a few tweaks and had to resort going back to Filemaker at a huge cost. Still looking to bail from FM eventually.

I was curious if my original question was ever achieved after 3 years and moving on to another database. Can a custom form that I have laid out be printing in the the layout form as opposed to a spreadsheet look. Please read my original post since you said it was on the list of requested features?

If you mean can you design a form view layout and then printout that form the emulate the screen records for 1 or more records etc. Then yes there is a print layout designer in Ninox. Eg So I have 1 form layout but needs to print out 3 different freely laid out Delivery note layouts depending on the client. Tis easy !

been able o do this for last 2 years or so.

and very recently you can import Word doc forms layouts into Ninox and print too using docx
