what kind of database?

I need a database to catalogue an archive of information about a village - it needs to be very simple, with fields for the number of each item, a description of it, its location in the collection and maybe one or two temporary fields while the archive is constructed. It must, of course, be searchable.

    With only those details ... Yes Ninox can easily fulfill those capabilities.  Tagging the field as "Global Search" will expose the values to the global find.   

     

    Not knowing how you intend to build / populate the "archive", Ninox offers an excelent and easy to use import process that can "add new" or "update" based on key values.
