User Roles/Security

I am working through my database setting up roles etc.  Doing the basics first and I have created a user/member (me under different credentials) as Editor only.  Here is my issue:

In (all) as editor the user (me for testing purposes) has no control of what columns are visible or has any control over drag and to reposition.  Neither can 'I' see the views (table view) I have available as admin/owner This is only possible in Admin mode it seems.  Trouble is Admin mode provides some control which I might not wish a user/member to have such as downloading a copy of the database.

Am I missing something here?  I'm hoping someone on this forum has done a good deal of user role/security research/implementation.
