Pop-up field showing wrong columns

I had a Combobox field where the Linked record was showing the "Trip Name" column and all was well. I decided to change the Show Field As type to Pop-up, however now it is showing a mashup of columns even though "Trip Name" is supposed to be the only visible column. I've tried adding and deleting columns, but the same multiple columns are showing. I change it back to Combobox and it works great.

I was able to solve for this by using the "Show Data As" and enter the "Trip Name" field however I wouldn't think that is necessary, and is this a bug?

    It is not a bug. Just not intuitive.

    I haven't played around with reference field Show Field As and I notice that fields now change depending on the type selected. I don't know when that was implemented but that is a change. You see the Show Data as disappear when you select Combobox and reappear when you select Pop-up.
