Another question about colouring a field.

I know l have seen on the forum bits of information about this topic but was wondering if someone could explain further. I would like to have a background colour with txt but not sure how or where the formula goes. Is it a trigger after update, it can“t be a formula field as you can change the background colour anyway. I also have choice fields that l can use colour and icons but in the record view l get all different size colours depending on the txt size. I would prefer the whole field box to be coloured. Is this possible.

    Hi Michael

    Colour can“t be set on data-entry/edit fields

    Colour can be set directly on formula fields (set color from color colour choice (red/blue or Grey) or from colour picker within styles)

    or from scripts ie.    If myChoice = 1 then color(”Grey“) end

    re choice fields in design mode (Spanner) on the choice field list itself (pick a colour against each choice from the colour pallet option

    this will display the background colour for the full width of the text box. (on form view! but not in table view!)

    Hi Mel, l finally found what lnwasblooking for. It has taken two days but l eventually found the information. Thanks for your input and keep up the pressure for a better forum.
