Images size on printouts

So after much head scratching, and i am sure there is an obvious answer but ..... I am somewhat stuck ☹️

Does anyone have any idea how to control the image size on standard print layouts

I now need to apply some images on various print outs from child tables and no matter how I set the image handling properties in design mode ie small/med/ large stretch etc the image on the print out is basically a small thumbnail image

as per sample images below - they are simply too small

I'm guessing others have found a way around this but would appreciate a clue

You could create a formula field in your table (the one on your printlayout) and add a “ with a couple of returns (for another line) and end with a “ again. Now you should have a longer vertical column and your images do have more space now to become bigger.

RoSoft_Steven  Ah ha - that makes sense! and clearly works but it has also the adverse effect of spacing out all the data lines (especially those that do not have an image as in below.

      ie

which is not the best look

      So I have another Idea

if I were to take my child table and create another sub table from that just for the pricing then I could have the image once on the description child table.

such as this test sample (main form and 2 child tables)

and on the print out/pdf there should be

Main Quote Master Form details here etc

the main form should show the products and costs child tables like this

+ First level child table (image and product desc)

+ Second level child table (prices only)

Adding the first sub form is easy but I can't see any way to add the second child form (prices) onto the print outs (so can't tell even if you can nest them). you can get to the form but it only allows count/sum etc

Has anyone successfully done done this at all ?

I solved this by creating a new table and duplicating all nested tables to the new one, but I still could not print the image in the layout.

Roger Thanks  Roger but I think that leaves you on the staring grid just like me - I have not been able to sort it even on the newer dynamic print forms!

Resorted to screening dumping the form as an image - works but certainly not elegant!

especially when have to send to a customer !
