unable to use google maps

Recently had to re-install the app on my phone.
Now I'm unable to us google maps to direct me to an address. 
Error message is "Goole Maps is not installed or switched off", but all settings seem correct.

Am sure I'm over looking something. Any help please?

    Can Ninox use map positioning? Where can this feature be used?
