V 3.16.4, WOW what a mess.

Seriously Ninox. You've been working on this update for a long time. It's a mess. So far nothing works right. Background colors are goofed, I can't change dates, and now it's stuck spinning.

Try changing a date using the pop up calendar. It gets stuck and won't go away. Then the next time it works. Very frustrating. Now it's spinning again.

I tried changing a date field and it changed ok. It showed up properly in the view table and it kept it when I exited the DB and opened it again.

I'll bet you are using the cloud. I'm using local. I restarted my Mac and Ninox is still spinning.

I work on Android Tablet and I have no problems either in the cloud or local.

Ok, just updated my macOS app to 16.4 and had no issues changing a date field. Have you tried deleting the ninox app preferences?

    open the Terminal app
You can find it via Spotlight search, the magnifying glass in the top right corner (just type Terminal)
Copy and paste the following command:

    defaults delete de.ninoxdb.ninox-mac.Ninox

then you can execute the command by pressing enter

I did that. No change. I may have a corrupt DB. I'm testing...

Yep. Pretty sure today when my iPhone was updated to 3.16.4 is when the problem happened. I've been waiting for 9 months for Ninox to fix the missing iOS DB background images, so after the update they still weren't there. I manually added the background image to the DB on my iPhone, and that's when things went bad.

So now I need to use a back up, but hold on, Ninox has no back up system, and Time Machine can only back up files and apps, but there are no DB files with Ninox. I pointed this out years ago that it is a serious flaw. The user has to manually save an archive. That just sucks that I have to remember to do that. Of course the last time I did a save Archive was 6 months ago.

So now I am rebuilding the DB from the archive from 6 months ago. The background image is not there. I try to add it, but nothing happens. Like I said, it's a mess.

I believe this all has to do with the background image under Options. I've attached a stripped to nothing DB that I cannot get to accept a background image. Please look at it and first see if you can add a background image, and if not maybe suggest what is wrong. I've tried a new blank DB and I can add the background image to it.

I do not see the 16.4 update on the app store yet, so I'll test it out when it shows up for me.

If you go to the App store and search for the Ninox app page you will see that the update is available -- at least that is my experience.

It takes some random amount of time before the Updates portion in the sidebar of the App Store app shows an update is available.

You could test first with the older version of Ninox that you have and see if that will let you add a background image to the Wins 3.ninox DB that I uploaded above.

So on my iPhone ver 15.4, I was able to add an image to a background of a DB.

I updated to 16.4 and was able to add an image to a iCloud DB.

With the DB file I attached here, or with one of your DBs?

I just tried it with your DB and I had no issues setting a background on my iPhone.

OK, I was able to set the background to an image on my iPhone. Then I went back to my desktop, and now I can set the background image there too. I have no idea why now, but not before I added it to the iPhone version!
