Fields for Form use, not needed in "record"

This might be a simple answer, but on my slide-over default form for a table, is EVERY field stored with the "record"?

It appears to me that formula fields probably are not "stored", but I have other fields (date and time) that I use for input in order to create the item that actually needs recording. Are these additional fields being stored with each record? It seems space-wasteful if so! 

So my question is, how do I reduce record size when creating non-essential fields on the one and only form per table?

     A couple of extra fields are not really going to "explode" your DB, but it does bring up a good issue.

    That is why you should look into dashboards/pages to create a UI to interact with your DB instead of going straight to the data tables. You should create pages where the data is entered then have raw data tables that just stores the data.

    Here are my opinions about why dashboards are helpful even for a single user, like me.

       Thanks Fred - I somehow thought you would be kind enough to respond!

      I have been working with pages - containing views, search prompts, range data prompts etc. But my first "page" was the slide-over form attached to the table I first created. With validation code here and there it all works fine. After now completing my task, I have started to look at refining things. 
      I agree a page would be more refined tool.

      But, hey! 3 months of searching documents on. Ninox, I can now deal with MCD fields, adding and removing multi choice options under code! Was a nightmare to work through but got there in the end!  As someone who was self-taught Basic then Pascal (Tandy 8-bit Intels around 1978) , CP/M...I then got a real job! It's been 45 years since I applied my brain this way. It's been fun, frustrating , and with help from guys like you it ended positively. I quite like Ninox.
