file unzip Fail

Hi,

When I am trying to import Ninox database from Dropbox into Android phone I get "file unzip Fail" message. Even though the database appeares in the app list. And even opens. But without any pictures. Ninox shows a broken image icon where pics should be. When I'm trying to open my images I only get "This image failed to load" message.

The same database source imports well (and perform well) into iPhone app.

Just moved to Android, and none of my ninox databases will import. All have "file unzip fail" error messages.

Is there a fix for this?

I managed to import a database developed on a Mac onto an iPhone, however I have the same problem importing it onto a Google Pixel: "file unzip Fail".

It seems that ninox does not import ninox databases into Android created on macOs or iOS.

As you can see by the date of the original forum post, it is unlikely you'll get any help here to solve the problem. I've ended up migrating away from ninox.

So it seems that very few developers are trying to move their bases from the Apple world to that of Google... It's curious, isn't it? I very recently chose to buy an Android rather than an iOS to test the operation of a base that works well on iOS after having developed it under macOS.

I've also recently moved from iPhone to Pixel, but I still use MacOS. This makes ninox a non-starter as their databases do not work across platforms.

You can always access cloud DBs through a browser on any platform. The apps are buggy right now. but that will be fixed.

I don't use the cloud DBs. My DBs are on my devices.

Personally I develop under macOS and iCloud which allows you to quickly test the iOS version of an iPhone using the Ninox database shared on iCloud.
I tested that the local version for iOS works as well as the iCloud version.
My goal now is to be able to distribute a local version valid for any type of smartphone.
So we'll wait until the bug is fixed...

Have you found any solution to getting your databases from Apple to Android?

No, I just tried with Ninox version 3.10.11, but nothing has changed ;-(
