Calculated value = false?

I've been trying to work out a mass update, the triggered update works fine when records are updated, but when I tried to recreate this as a mass update / calculated formula , I get a different result

 

ipMatch = "10.0." + IP3 + "." + IP4 is what I'm trying to run. all of the fields are text, so they should be able to work, but when I run it, the projected result comes up "false"

I must have missed something pretty basic, but it's not jumping out at me.

    nvm , answered it for myself while doing it. I don't need the ipmatch = statement here. wish there was a thread delete, fast edit. *** Egg on face ***
