Trigger button and code to open calendar

Hello Ninox Community.

Question: Is a code to open the calendar directly while being in a dataset (in my case a dashboard with table view) ?

In Ninox you can open a table via button and function. Isn't it possible to open the calendar?

I built an agenda for a client where I added a button to create a new entry.  I also created a dashboard using the view and linking to the Agenda table. He can now filter his agenda and create a new entry directly from this dashboard.

My client asked me if I could add him a button to show (overlay, popup) calendar because in some cases he wants to enter a new appointment directly via the calendar.

Does anyone of you have an idea on how to code this?

Thank you

This might be too simple an answer, but the calendar is in the menu at the left. So why program another solution?

Hi Lars and thank you for your response.

I am aware that the calendar can be accessed at any time from the sidebar. My client wants to manage his agenda via a dashboard. There he actually finds a button with which he can create new entries. His idea was that next to this button could be a second one that opens the calendar.

Of course I know that this is not really useful, it's even useless. It's like building a second light switch next to an existing light switch to control the first one.

If you build an application for a customer then you fulfill his wishes because after all he or she pays for it. With such requirements it is best to smile and not ask questions.

Instead, as useless as it may seem, you should always consider it as a challenge in problem solving.

However, thank you for your response.

claudemuller Well then ... just as an idea:

The calendar has a fixed URL. If you customer uses the system already in a browser, you could use the openURL function and feed it with this URL. That opens the calendar.

However, it opens in a new tab and I don't know how to suppress that

    Ciao Lars,

in verità inserendo un pulsante con URL collegato, apre il database ma non il calendario, hai un aiuto in merito?
