Rich text formatting disappears in final PDF file
Im on the cloud version.
I have read all the posts about printing rich (or formated) text.
Although in the print layout screen the formating is present, in the final pdf file not the rich text field, nor the formula with html do not keep the formatting. (
Is this bug? I saw a few similiar posts from the end of 2018. It is an important feature - to be able to print a formated report or invoice...

I don't have this problem anymore.
I just did a test with:
- Ninox app
- Web version with Safari
- Web version with Firefox
Here is the final pdf (App & Safari)
No html in the print layout, just the actual Rich Text field.

We use the cloud version of Ninox. I just tried printing a rich text field on the Mac using Safari and Chrome. Then I tried it on Windows 10 using Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firebox. It failed on all of them. We use Adobe Acrobat to view pdf files. The screenshot appears to be using the Apple Preview app to view pdf files. Perhaps that is why it works. Unfortunately, more than 95% of our users use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The line returns were also removed in my testing, so the end result was one big paragraph, with no text formatting.

My results are as Dean has.
Tomorrow will try to look at this pdf's in mac preview app.
Support, please comment is it us doing it wrong, or it is a bug?

Best solution i guess is to contact support@ninoxdb.de and ask to change the print engine of the cloud team you're working in. I think that might help.
Steven.

Windows 10 - Adobe Reader

No, Nick. Unfortunately not in mac's Preview app, nor in Adobe reader ther formatting is preserved.
I dont get it how you have it on the same platform, and i - dont. Maybe Steven is right and there are different print engines in Ninox.
The screenshot is done for the pdf created in Cloud version, opened in Adobe reader.

Sometime ago I had font problems with the produced pdfs and Jorg changed my print engine.
I don't know if this has to do anything with this problem, so follow Steven's advise and wright an email to support.

Any update on the problem? I just wrote an program to enable letter printing for clients and all rich text is just lumped into one long stream of characters with no formatting. Formatting is correct on the screen, but the PDF generate is missing the formatting.

I have the same problem and will also try to contact ninox. But why are they not enabling the new print engine from the start since this is a major issue many people seem to have?
