RESOLVED! - ⚠️Email functions currently not usable - Outage of integrated SMTP service ⚠️
UPDATE 2026-05-07 // 16:00:
The respective changes have now also been enacted for all Private Clouds.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the SendGrid implementation has an increased chance of having sent emails marked as spam for the recipient. If you notice that is the case for your outbound communication via sendEmail(), please contact us via the contact form or via support@ninox.com so that we may provide the DKIM & SPF keys and values which needs to be implemented in the DNS configuration of the domain which the sender address belongs to.
UPDATE 2026-05-07 // 12:20:
To alleviate the issue, the SMTP setup in the Public Cloud has been temporarily switched from TurboSMTP to SendGrid. This should now allow for emailing processes to work unimpeded again in the Public Cloud specifically. We intend to enact this change in the Private Cloud as well but this will take some more time to prepare.
The TurboSMTP service, which is used in the Public Cloud and by default in the Private Cloud for sending emails, is currently down. As a result, the sendEmail() function and the processes for invitations, password resets, and account validations are unavailable.
It is not yet known how long this outage will last. We apologize for the inconvenience.
