Possible subform fault - reposted as original posts not posting body text
Issue: Lost sub form on data model?
I have spent quite some time looking for a sub from that exists but no longer shows up in the data model and trying to understand why.
So the issue was the with the subform as it showed on table form view with it’s filename (ie Jobbagscosts) but ceased to show on the data model nor in table list of left hand edge under the main table heading when the triangle is expanded to show listed subforms.
I now believe to be a fault whereby by the sub table as shown on the form does not update its title after name change.
So that you can replicate/watch out for it do or beware of the following :-
1. Add a sub form to the main form – Call it say Test1 and save it.
This subform shows up correctly in the data model table and on the left and also as the correct title on the subform itself.
2. Now open the sub form for field editing either on the left or preferably from the spanner on the form itself the form itself and change the subform title name and save ie Test2.
Its now gone from the data model etc.! But the original table name Test1 is still shown in the data model etc.
If you add data into it you will see data is added to both the table on list under heading in my case Test1 and indeed in the table on the form view !!! Test2. So actually it is still the same form but it is not being updated visually to altered the table name on the form view.
Thus it think it is a simple case of although everything is still intact functionally. The title on the subform as shown on the form view simply does not update . !
However Ninox may wish to call it an undocumented feature! ha ha
Caused me a few hours of head scratching to work out what was going on.
And I agree why would you want to change the table name in the first place? Simple really. I put the table in place and all’s its fields and went to does some scripts and realised I had misspelled the table name in error and as you can alter/correct a table name I did. What I didn’t expect was for it to disappear from the data model etc.
Not a big issue and I have indeed reported it. But when you are staring at the data model and saying where has my subform gone? and yet it is still being listed on the main form as a subform. It might/does confuse....

Noticed too that the table names goes out too if you duplicate and rename a table that is already a subform on a main table
ie Subform tabel called Quotelines
I want to copy (duplicate this subform to do of script test so that if i mess it up my orginal table is uneffected)
So i dupicated it and saved it with names as QuotelinesTEST
agin the datamodel shows as correct but my main form now shows 2 subforms. My original subform (Quotelines and a new saved one called Quotelines1. This is actually QuotelinesTEST sunfrom but the labeling is wrong (not updated on the form)
