API into Image Field

Has anyone worked out a way to fill an image field with a file from a different database using API? The goal is to press button in database A and send the picture to database B without needing to do anything on database B.

Currently, I have it set up that the shareFile(img) gets sent to database B but I then need to press another button that side to load the file into the image field

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    If you can afford the enterprise plan, the new modularity in 3.10 will allow you to do this without using API.

    Check it out on Oct 4th.

       The modularity only works within the same workspace from my understanding, I've got databases in different workspaces i'm currently linking between. It will be interesting to see though if this is doable in this update though
