Hi John, we have this feature planned. For now we recommend to use the built in Authentification or Ninox Cloud.

    Best regards, Alex

Hi! It's now Jan 2020 -- I need to password protect my local ninox database, can not move it to the cloud for secrruity reasons. Any date on when password protection for local app will be done? Thanks!

That was 1,5 year ago also mij question. Unfortumally there has been nothing changed. Although this feature was planned in that time.

I need to warn you. It is actually possible to circumvent this security trick. The user downloads the database as an archive, creates a new blank database and reimports the archive - voilà, the password protection of the database is gone. :( it is sad, I would love to secure my local version as well!
