Formulae in Global Search
Is it at all possible to work your magic so that based on user wishes formula fields can be excluded from the view that result from a global search?
Example: The first 3 fields are no desired in a search result. Can something be included in the Display if option?

I've just done a test and I can't reproduce a global search that takes the formulas into account. Can you tell me more than just how you do it?

as you can see above, I have the first 3 columns displayed. These are formula fields that are not needed, especially the first one HUD..... Text fields and other types all have Global on/off options, but formula fields do not. Therefore, it is not possible to toggle Global Search off for HUD or any other formula field.
What would be nice is if one could add a bit of code that basically says: Do NOT show in Global search results in Formula fields because they do not have that option by default. -
Yes, but to write this piece of code, I need to have a working example. However, I am unable to get a global search result on formulas. Could you provide me with a simple application where we can see this phenomenon?But come to think of it, maybe you’re working on the Mac application and not on the cloud?

I am on the cloud and I am not asking for global search in formulas. What I am asking is to not show formula fields in Global Search view that I don to need. For example this field is displayed in a Global Search
Is it not possible to add a script to fields that do not have the Global Search Y/N attribute. Can the script go in the Display if perhaps. In the attached I have added a formula field. It does not have a Global Search attribute. Now if you search for K0005 for example that formula field is in the results view. What would be nice is to be able to flag field types that do not have the Search attribute so that ONLY fields you want to view are displayed.

I understand what you want to achieve, but when I search in the application you shared, I cannot find the records based on what is contained in the formula. The NoGlobalSearch formula contains the value “customer”. So when I search with K0005, I do find the record for customer number K0005 through the text field Customer No.
But that’s normal because the text field Customer No is in global search.
Now, if I put the code “#NoGlobalSearch” in the NoGlobalSearch formula:
And when I do a global search on this same text, nothing appears:
Try it yourself and let me know what you find.

I think you misunderstand me. I want K0005 to be found, what I do not want to see are fields that are not relevant to me such as formula fields that are used to hide icons and that sort of field such as the HUD field in my screenshot.
