Odd behavior / bugs with PAGES on macOS

I'm using Ninox on my mac and I'm experiencing some weird behavior when I try to use pages. I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue as well.

First, I can put in an image field but I cannot populate it with an image. I can't interact with the hamburger menu in the corner of the image field, when I drag and drop an image onto the field you can see it register the drop but one of two things will happen:

a- nothing

b- an error message saying "Not authorized"

Then, the other thing I'm dealing with is a weird error with dynamic choice fields and views.

I was trying to setup a view where I could sort a table by years. So i have a dynamic choice field setup and no matter what I do, no matter what is populating that dynamic choice field, I cannot make a selection. I've uploaded the database to the ninox cloud (30 day trial) and it worked fine.

I'm going to reach out to support but I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing any issues with page views. If anyone has experienced anything like this I'd love to know a workaround or a fix, or maybe I'm being obtuse and am missing something really obvious.

Okay here's another one, I just made a simple text field and when you click out of it, the text disappears. Something seems to be wrong with my pages.

And it isn't only one database, its any database that I have installed. Screen Recording 2024-05-17 at 9.27.54PM

Pages are available for Public and Private Cloud as well as On-Premises.

Pages don't work for me either.
I work with local databases in Ninox Mac app v3.12.2, stored either locally or in the iCloud (Not Ninox cloud).

Do you work in the Ninox cloud with the Mac application?

are you having similar issue to what I described or experiencing something else? also how do you find your app version? I figured it'd be in "about ninox" but that just takes you to the website.

I have similar issues "...a simple text field (or number or date) and when you click out of it, the text disappears".

To find your app version go to Applications folder select Ninox Database and hit cmd+I (or right click and select Get Info).

You are correct, Nick. I forgot to test on local DB. I can confirm that Pages, does not work on local DBs.

Or you can click on the letter of your account name in the upper right corner of the app.

Okay thanks for that.  I'm going to send this thread along with a message to support as a bug report. Would love to get pages fixed!

You can submit a feature request, as Nick did point out that Ninox does not say Pages is for the app with local DB. I wouldn't go holding my breath to ever hear from them.

Ah interesting. I submitted a report, we'll see.

When I first chose Ninox to build my job/custom/employee database I wasn't aware of the disparity between cloud and local. I can only imagine that if they continue to develop the cloud the app is just going to be left behind even more. A shame, really.

I switched over about two years ago. I noticed that the disparity started to grow and then they made the app free. Which means they can, not that they do, care about it less.

If it was for business I would definitely go with the paid version. It use to be you would get email support with the basic plan, but that has gone away.

I guess Ninox have finally concluded can't go giving support to a free product. They are not on their own here and many products that are free are unsupported.

Although I'm on the pro version - I would like to see them put back the email support for the basic plan.
