Issue/Bug in report creation

Can anyone confirm that there is a 'bug' in the report engine where with a long field list there is no scroll option when adding a field at the bottom of a list.  Refer the screen shot below.  As you can see there is a field 'off screen' at the bottom.  I have no way of scrolling beyond the last visible field.

Hi Alan. Yes I am seeing the same issue. Clicking on the cog icon (top right in any highlighted field) brings up the formula builder and you can add / update fields from there.

    Regards John

Thanks for the work around.  I will raise this with support, can you do so as well.  If other viewers of this post can report as well perhaps, we can get it sorted asap.  It's a pain this one.

I have found an additional bug.  The problem comes about because I am trying to get a 'view' into a report which is based on a table that I cannot reach because of the bug mentioned above.  A work around is to create an 'auto' report.  Doing so places every field/element on the report.  One can then laboriously move, delete (ooops).....  That's the problem.  It seems that with an 'auto' generated report nothing can be deleted from the report because the delete icon is not available.

Can you confirm this or figure a work around for this one too :-).

    Cheers

I tried on another table and the trash icon was available.  So, I went back to the non-trash one and messed around a bit.  Turned out that if I select a field and use CTRL+X I could delete the field whereupon the Trash icon magically appeared.

I have to say that any software application MUST have a decent report generator.  An Achilles heal of note wrt Ninox sadly.

I hate to break it to you but Ninox's solution is their dynamic printing. Which is not available to local DB users. They will most likely not spend any effort fixing their old print engine, which should be blown up because it is so bad.
