Format Date

you can use the formula:

 format('Birth Date', "MM/DD/YYYY")

in a formula field or a table column calculation.

I hope this will help you and others, because I'm seeing the same problems.  Searching this forum is hard because the "search" function is bad software design.  Searching the manual is also hard for the same reason: bad software design. 

So, I've been changing my search terms in a way that (sometimes) gives better results.  Normally, we search on a question or problem; in this instance: format date field.   Using that to search the forum gives more than 10 pages of results. 

In the manual, a similar search returns 4 pages of results.  Ridiculous.

Instead, I've been getting more focused search results (sometimes) by searching on the solution I'm seeking.   Often the search then focuses immediately on a more helpful answers. In this case, the one best answer:

And if there is a better way, please post here.  We need more ways to work around the many problems in this forum and the manual.

Hi, you can also adjust your country/reagions settings of your device and set there the display of dates as you like them to see. Ninox will display the date fields as set your standard settings of your device.

I have tried every way that I can think of to get the date format correct on import. My source data (an Excel created CSV UTF-8 file) has the format I require correctly shown (e.g. DD/MM/YYYY) and I have set that option in Ninox. My PC (Windows 10 desktop) has the correct regional and date/time settings. Upon import Ninox just ignores all that and presents the dates as MM/DD/YYYY. Help!
