adding files to records?
Hi have created a database where for each record I have a bunch of files to add to it (i use the built in attach "add file" upload to add files.
However I am concerned that very soon the database will become large (a few GBs) and creating my regular backups will be an issue.
Is this the way everyone is using it? could I not perhaps connect each record to dropbox or google drive somehow so that I can link files like that rather than have them physically saved in database.
I like saving in Ninox database, but I am not sure if I should be concerned about overall database size. or should I not be concerned? also I have two users (i.e. 4GB, I am assuming I get 4GB for the database, and not split as 2GB each per user)

thanks, I guess I can do this for powerpoint and pdf files as well? i am also guessing that i will need to first manually create a folder in dropbox for each new record created in ninox then i need to copy and paste the shared url form dropbox to ninox. Is there a way to maybe link from ninox to a specific shared folder in dropbox?

I don't think you need separate folders for each record, If you just copy the share-link of the file to the right record.
Also : In ninox you can use the function openURL() to go to a link that opens the files you want.
Hope this helps.

many thanks Steven -- I guess will have to manually enter URLs in text boxes and use a button to allow user to go to the url link (pointing to dropbox shared file/folder).
i thought there was some cool integration between ninox and dropbox using Zapier or Integromat for file uploading but seems not so.
