Database Find, what determines the columns shown when performing a search?

Does not appear that setting the field to "Global Search" is the answer. I need to see more fileds (columns).

Yes, only the columns shown are searched. The default is the first seven columns. Add columns as needed. Click red tool button first. Then make changes and click the tool button again to save your changes.

I'm using the sidebar find. I click the red tool button, and I get nothing.

The sidebar find searches across all tables. I am not aware of any way to control the columns shown for that search. For the search at the top of any list, you can click a column header to add or remove columns. That can also be done with views.

Exactly what I am saying. I guess it is what it is. It could be much better.
