How to Format a Field?
Seems like a simple questions I know, but
As a neophyte I figured out changing the date format in the table, however, the same field in a form shows up in the original date format and its not immediately obvious to me where to go to change the format for displaying the date on the form.
In a related issue I want a number to show up as fixed set of digits, viz 001, 002 etc but once again I don't see where to go to control that display on a form.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for responding.
Apologies for not making my question clear. I'm in that neophyte stage where I don't know where to find the menu/buttons to do something. So in the case mentioned I can format a date in the Table, but that appears to have no effect on the format of the same data in a form.
So where do I look to format the data on the form. I suspect this is something obvious but I keep digging here and there and can't find anyway to effect the display of data.
Thanks
Note, my expectation was that once I formatted the data in the table the same field would appear in the same format on a form but obviously that isn't the case.
