I can't edit the number of pieces in my inventory when I add a new item

I'm totally new to Nixon so I'm sure I do semthing wrong here

Is this 'number of pieces' field a number field or something else?

Is this field a Starting Qty Balance of the Item (Items already in your stock)?

It is a numbered field. The inventory starts with a demo list of items. When i add a new item I can't change the amount i have in my inventory
