How To View a subtable from a different Table

Hi There,

I have a table (Table 1) where all information is edited (with a sub table).

I then have another table (Table 2) that draws the information from Table 1 and puts them in formulae fields so they can not be edited.

Is it possible to select the subtable and put it in a view so people can see the information in the subtable of table 1 in table 2 but not edit it.

    Take a look at the Writable if part of the Edit Table window. You can create a table, maybe call it Security, and use that to organize users into groups. Then you can put a formula in there that will give (or take) writable permissions to users.

    This way you don't need to create a 2nd set of fields just to make them not editable. The Security table also allows you to do field level security as well and can be used in Display only if sections.
