I just want to open an existing database. How do I do this?

It's a while since I created the three database files that I have. They are stored locally on my MAC.  I don't understand how to open them.  I don't want to add or change anything, just open them to make phone calls. It seems extraordinarlily difficult to simply do this.  There is no "Open" command.    Thanks, Steve
