I searched the manual and forum, but I can“t find this answer:

Can the items in a choice field be looked up from a table? Can items in the choice field be sorted/filtered?

In my FileMaker applications, I dedicate one or more tables to store field choices. For example...

The Make Table stores three records - in the Name field, Toyota, Porsche, Acura.

In the Cars Table (with Cars data entry form) I want a choice field to show options from the Make Table: Toyota, Porsche, Acura.

Tomorrow, a I might add a fourth record, BMW to the Make table.  Then the Cars form”s choice field should offer Toyota, Porsche, Acura, BMW.

Furthermore...

Can the choice items be re-sorted in alpha order? Acura, BMW, Porsche, Toyota?

if the Make Table had another field, “Coolness”, where Porsche is “Cool” and Acura is “Stupid”, could the choice field be filtered with an expression? E.g., entering “Cool” on the Cars form, would filter the Make choice field to offer only Porsche.
