Hiding Fields in the app version

I would like to have all fields visible on my desktop for admin users.  However, people out 'in the field' using the app, do not need to see some of these fields.

I understand that I could hide a table by changing the roles of who can read it.

I expect something similar would be the case for hdiing a field and it would just be a matter of entering in a code into the 'display field only if'.

Any suggestion on the code I would write?

i.e 'display field only if the user role is admin'

@Katie... the subject sayd "in the app version"... so I assume  you mean the Mac App and / or iPad App??   The User Management functions work with the Ninox server / cloud versions only.

As a work around.. You could create a hidden configuration table .. that has a key / value pair.. hide that table.. then look up a visibility indicator..

Thanks for your reply!  Actually maybe it is the cloud version.  It's the app on my android phone, but it has a cloud in the corner, so yes I think it's the cloud version.

If you can access it via

    https://app.ninoxdb.de/

Then it is the Ninox Cloud version.   I am not familiar with the Android version .. with the Mac App / iPad version, the "cloud" indicated that it is an iCloud hosted database.

I have managed to solve my issue by using the formula: 'Created by' = user() to hide a field that I have personally created that only I need to see.

As I am the only admin, this has worked for me in this scenario.
