Attach a pdf import to an image field.
How do I go about to import a pdf file into a field? I have tried to use the image field but when I get into the onedrive folder where I have these files they're all grayed out.

Hello,
I think the best way is to use the function attachmetn. See the page 51 of the manual.Best regards,

Hello Raphaël,
Thanks for the fast reply. Tried it with a button that fills another image field and it works but only partially.
If the file is available as a direct pdf download like for example: "https://www.rainbird.eu/sites/default/files/notices/esp-rzxe_advanced_user_manual_640251-01_en.pdf" than all is ok.
If on the other hand the file is dinamically generated with server side code like: "https://www.stihl.pt/controls/baonline/Download.aspx?Document=131_9940.pdf&Name=STIHL+RMA+443.0_+RMA+448.0&SAPType=" than it will not work.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
thanks

Hi,
I cannot resolve your problem but I think that the problem is not the "way" you use but "what" you will use. https://www.rainbird... is a PDF and https://www.stihl.pt... is a link.. And the end of the manual, there is a part dedicated to the server but I am not sure you will find your happiness there...
If you do not find something interesting on the forum, try a webinar...

Hello Raphaël,
I get your point and already gave the users a notice that only direct links to pdf files work. Links with links are a no no.
My only alternative left is to give the users the additional option of uploading a file from their local storage. Be it whatever it may; DropBox, OneDrive, Files (iPad).
My problem is that whenever I access these storage locations the pdf files are not choosable, they're greyed out.
How could I go about this uploading from local storage files? I even tried with file:// instead of http:// but to no avail.
Again thank you for being so helpful.
Regards,
Peter
