Read-only remote access to database by anonymous users?
I'm currently using a free trial of the cloud-based Ninox. From the point of view of creating and managing the data base, it seems perfect as a small library-style catalog for materials (e.g., books, letters, pamphlets) housed by our very small (three employees) university-based research center. But it's less clear what would be necessary in order to make the catalog accessible (read-only, of course) to the general public. Ideally, there'd be a tool to build a simple web form that would allow anyone to search the database and display selected fields of the resulting records. But I can't find evidence that such a tool exists or that anonymous read-only access to a database is even possible.
I realize that it's possible to build a web front-end using API calls, but this would be far beyond our capabilities and our budget.
