Why does a trigger to validate a data entry not work on the iPad.

I work with a version of Ninox on the iMac and an older version of Ninox on the iPad. A trigger to validate data works fine on the iMac. The same code does not work on the Ipad. How should I have been able to expect that or to know that? I have not seen (yet) differences in version numbers.
