Using linked data in a formula

Hello,

I have three tables:

PERSON - a repository of historical figures
TIMELINE - a log of historical events
LINK - a table that permits PERSON and TIMELINE to be joined in a many-to-many relationship.

Is there a way to call a specific date out of the mass of TIMELINE entries that are associated with a particular PERSON entry, in order to put that data point to use in a Formula field in the PERSON table?  I’m thinking of birth and death dates.

And what would this formula look like? In words that a total no-coder like myself can understand?
